Michael is part of the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team based in Brighton and Hove and has over 20 years litigation experience.
He acts on a variety of disputed landlord and tenant, leasehold and property matters and on possession proceedings. He has handled a wide range of civil litigation matters ranging from large loss property damage claims, commercial and contractual disputes, debt recovery, enforcement, consumer disputes and non-domestic rate claims. He also has particular expertise in inquests and defending liability claims on behalf of insured and uninsured clients.
He is instructed by private and commercial clients, land and business owners in respect of general civil and property disputes, uninsured liability claims and advising on insurance related matters. Clients have included public sector bodies and local authorities, emergency services, major utility companies, insurers, government departments and agencies, in particular the MOD.
Experience and approach
Michael has previously worked in private practice, central government and in-house gaining a wide range of experience in high value and sensitive matters, especially whilst acting for the MOD on diverse liability claims, inquests and judicial reviews
Michael takes a pragmatic and commercial approach when advising clients as to the options available to them when seeking to resolve disputes as well as to the economics involved.
