Lynn is an experienced PA with previous positions in publishing and travel firms and many years’ experience in the legal profession.
Lynn joined the Employment Department at Rix & Kay in 2007 and has been involved with GatekeeperHR since its inception. In 2017 she studied for a Paralegal qualification in Employment Law, graduating in 2018.
Lynn’s role is diverse. She works closely with Amy , supporting her in her role as a Partner in the Firm and assisting her with her employment case load.
She also administers the Firm’s Registered Office and Company Secretarial retainer service. This separate retainer enables businesses to use the Firm as their Registered Office and to hold their statutory registers. It also provides company secretarial services, whereby the Firm acts as a business’s Company Secretary, filing their annual Confirmation Statement at Companies House and dealing with Director and Secretary appointments and the like. Businesses can utilise both aspects of the retainer service or just one part of it, depending on their needs and an annual fee is rendered for the service.
Where GatekeeperHR is concerned, Lynn is in contact with clients from the outset, providing quotes and brochures prior to them signing up to the retainer and then issuing all the required administrative paperwork and obtaining quotes for any add-on services (such as Employment Protection Insurance) that a client may require once the retainer is in place. Lynn also deals with the financial side of the retainer.
In terms of legal practice, Lynn will assist in undertaking compliance audits with new clients, following which she will review and update their employment documentation to ensure it complies with UK legislation and best practice. Thereafter, Lynn will continue to offer advice and support to clients in connection with specific employment issues that may arise, providing all necessary paperwork and leading the client through the process from start to resolution.
