Lauran is a solicitor in Rix & Kay’s family team based in Kent, specialising in all areas of family separation. Her work includes handling divorce, financial settlements, injunctions, and matters under the Children Act.
Lauran has a particular focus on issues concerning children and vulnerable clients, and is committed to guiding and supporting clients through the often challenging process of relationship breakdowns.

Lauran meticulously examines every detail of a client’s case to provide the support they require, adopting a personalised and approachable stance tailored to each individual. She prioritises amicable dispute resolution and works to help clients reach agreements whenever possible. Where this is not feasible, Lauran has substantial experience in representing clients throughout court proceedings, offering invaluable guidance, support and practical, firm advice at every stage of the process.

- Domestic abuse and injunction matters, including Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders.

Lauran’s work
Children matter
Lauran represented a mother in a complex private law children’s case involving significant welfare and safeguarding concerns regarding the father, who was unrepresented. The case included serious abuse allegations, leading to a Fact-Finding Hearing. Multiple agencies, including the police, social services, and CAFCASS, were involved in investigations. Ultimately, Lauran successfully brought the case to a resolution, ensuring the protection of all those involved
