Kerry is an experienced CIPD qualified HR Advisor with a demonstrated history of working in diverse industries throughout her career, including the Armed Forces.
Kerry joined the Employment team in January 2020 working closely with Partner, Amy White, and the wider team, to assist with the support provided to GatekeeperHR clients. Kerry is currently undertaking further studies to complete her full CIPD Diploma in HR Management and achieve Associate CIPD status.
Kerry’s Clients
As part of the GatekeeperHR service, Kerry supports a diverse range of clients, including those in industries such as construction, healthcare and hospitality.
At the start of a client’s retainer, Kerry assists in undertaking a compliance audit, which includes updating relevant employment documentation to ensure compliance with current UK legislation and best practice. Thereafter, Kerry continues to provide timely advice and support to clients in connection with HR processes and procedures and employment legislation.
Kerry endeavours to keep clients up to date with legislative changes and best practice. She does this by circulating articles and blogs to ‘make law easy’ for clients to understand.

Kerry’s work
Implementation of HR Procedures
Kerry assisted a start-up company with its HR procedures, including implementing processes for performance, absence and probation management and appraisal reviews. Providing support from the outset, the company was able to ensure adherence to best practice from its inception.
Review/Creation of Policies
Kerry supported a company by reviewing all policies and updating them in line with legislative changes. Thereafter, Kerry took on the responsibility of creating new policies, as a result of which the company successfully passed its audits.
Capability Management
Kerry assisted a company in managing a sensitive capability procedure in connection with an employee who was absent from work due to disability. Kerry worked closely with the client, providing relevant documents and advice throughout, all whilst ensuring compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
