Daniel’s work
Advising on the sale of a family owned manufacturer to a global export business Daniel supported the sale of Arthur E. Mason Limited (trading as Masona Plastics) to global export business, Aspen Pumps Group. Masona Plastics manufactures plastic injection moulded components for a wide range of industries, including educational, engineering, electronics, printing, construction and gardening, with customers in the UK, as well as the EU and North America. The sale was completed smoothly in March 2023, with significant value brought to both parties.
In addition, Daniel has recently assisted clients with the following:
the acquisition of a number of sector-specific businesses across the UK for a private equity investor;
acquisitions for and the internal reorganisation of a group of companies specialising in bespoke technical equipment;
the sale and purchase of an independent financial advice business; and
the internal restructuring and long term succession planning for a principal shareholder anticipating retirement.
“Throughout the entire process of the sale of our company, Kathryn Paisley and Daniel Halls provided a wealth of knowledge. Both were always accessible and patient which helped to keep our stress levels down. With their expertise and guidance, the successful sale of our company was guaranteed”.
“The team at Rix & Kay are extremely personable. They genuinely care about our business and best interests. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are always happy to take the time to explain complex legal jargon and ensure we fully understand the detail. Compared to other firms we have engaged with, Rix & Kay value our business, not matter how large or small”.
Thank you for all the hard work and the hours Daniel has put in. He has been very calm, giving great advice. We will be staying in contact and definitely recommend Rix & Kay.
Daniel has been very helpful, efficient and a huge support to us throughout the process and we are very grateful for this.
C. O’Shaughnessy & J. Jackson, Client Testimonial
Thank you to Daniel for his great efforts and support across three major corporate projects. I have found Daniel approachable, client centred and commercial, being able to advise clearly on the ‘need to have’ and being pragmatic about the ‘nice to have’. During a period of high work volumes he has maintained quality without slowing the ‘deal wheels’ down and kept a sense of humour – thank you!
R. Clare, Innovation Capital, Client Testimonial
We have worked with Daniel on more than five transactions over the past two years and the support we get is consistently outstanding. While being a technically excellent lawyer, Daniel also has the ability to be pragmatic and commercial in his approach, two traits which we see as essential and are often overlooked. His key skill is that he takes the time to understand what is important to us as a client and then focuses on delivering value in that area. He deals with difficult issues well, turns work around quickly while maintaining high standards, and has a knack for explaining the complex in simple terms. We look forward to continuing to work with Daniel on many more transactions.
