Sports charities and disability sport
Rix & Kay’s Sports Business Team has an extensive track record of working with regional sports associations, grass-roots sports teams and clubs throughout Sussex and Kent. The Team’s work dovetails with the firm’s dedicated Charity Sector team.
As well as the full range of legal advice that covers Corporate, Property, Employment, Dispute Resolution and Private Client, members of our Sports Business Team are active locally in connection with some of the regions most prominent and proactive sporting charities.
Rix & Kay’s Chairman, Bruce Hayter, undertakes an advisory role to the Board of Active Sussex and is a member of Sussex FA’s Disability Football Committee. Amy White is a member of Sussex FA’s Inclusion and Advisory Group.
Rix & Kay is at the forefront of disability sport in Sussex. We are currently working in collaboration with the Sussex County Cricket Foundation, Sussex RFU, Sussex FA and Active Sussex to develop and optimise the provision of disability sport in Sussex.
The initiative aims to address important issues in disability sport, including how to tackle social isolation and how sports clubs, from professional to grass-roots, can ensure that those with disabilities have the opportunity to play and succeed in the sports they love.
