Solutions for business in financial difficulty
Our dedicated restructuring and insolvency lawyers in Kent and Sussex will work alongside you to assist you in solving issues which have resulted from a business in financial difficulty. This financial difficulty may ultimately result in options including restructuring the company, liquidating the company, or considering a company voluntary arrangement, administrations or dispute resolution.
Our Restructuring & Insolvency team has a great deal of experience in working with, and alongside, local and national insolvency practitioners, accountants, companies and creditors.
With years of experience in this area, the team can provide the necessary connections with a wide range of insolvency professionals with whom we have excellent relationships and with whom we have worked with in the past. If the insolvency route is not the right one for you or your company, then we can assist you in coming up with an alternative structure that resolves your issues by looking at the possibilities of restructuring, refinancing, merging or demerging, amongst other things.
The team also has extensive experience in dealing with and working on behalf of individuals who may be suffering financially, either as a result of a company failure or individual debt issues. We can offer assistance on debt issues and bankruptcy – including, where needed, a considered referral to an insolvency practitioner for practical advice – as well as experienced advice from team members who have worked in house at the Insolvency Service and the Government Legal Department for those facing director disqualification proceedings from the Insolvency Service or those subject to claims for misfeasance which have been or are being considered by insolvency practitioners.
