Working with estate agents
– MAKING LAW EASY FOR YOU –
Works in partnership with estate agents that share our own client service values
Rix & Kay’s Residential Property Team works in partnership with estate agents that share our own client service values. The firm has taken a strategic decision to not enter into any referral fee arrangements.
Our Residential Property Teams in Brighton & Hove, West Kent (Hadlow), and East Sussex (Uckfield) work diligently with all estate agents when managing client transactions and are well known to many regional estate agents across Sussex and Kent. Our preference is to build long-term strategic partnerships with estate agents that have a commitment to the delivery of high quality professional advice and outstanding client service. We believe that collaborating with like-minded organisations in this way delivers significant benefits to both our organisations, as well as our mutual clients.
Rix & Kay’s Probate Valuations Panel
Rix & Kay maintains a preferred and formal panel of regional estate agents to whom we pass all our probate valuation opportunities. The panel operates on a regional basis and covers Brighton & Hove, Seaford, Uckfield and the surrounding areas of Sussex. The panel is made up of estate agents who want to build long-term strategic partnerships with Rix & Kay.
How many probate valuation opportunities are there?
Rix & Kay’s business has grown up in central East Sussex over the last 70 years and has maintained a presence in Brighton & Hove for more than 100 years. As a result, we have one of the largest Wills banks in the region. On average Rix & Kay receives 10 new probate instructions every month, the vast majority of which will require a probate valuation.

Rix & Kay is Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accredited.
The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. Membership establishes a level of credibility for firms with stakeholders such as regulators, lenders and insurers as well as residential homebuyers and sellers.
