Rix & Kay have teamed up with C.P.J Field to support this year’s More than just a funeral exhibition. The exhibition, now in its second year, brings together a wide range of professionals to answer questions on all aspects of end of life planning. The exhibition will be officially opened by Cllr. Spike Mayhew, Town Mayor and Cllr. Jackie Love, Deputy Mayor and will take place at The Civic Centre in Uckfield on Thursday 13 September. The exhibition is free to attend.
Rix & Kay’s specialist Later Life Team will be on hand to talk to visitors and answer questions on a wide range of important issues including the many ways people can help plan for later life.
Amanda Attrell, who leads Rix & Kay’s Later Life Team explains,
“We have many years of experience of helping individuals and their families to plan for later life, including those who may be in need of care at home or in a care home setting. It’s important that people take the time to plan for later life. Often we are contacted by people who have put these things off, are responding to an emergency situation or have sadly left it too late to put arrangements and safeguards in place. Having the right legal documentation in place can not only save a huge amount of money in the long term, it also takes away the added stress of having to deal with such things when the focus needs to be on caring for a loved one.
Rix & Kay’s Later Life Team advise individuals on a wide range of legal issues including Lasting Powers of Attorney, deputyships and Wills as well as care home fees and funding. In addition the team have available their unique Care planning and concierge services that can help manage a wide range of complimentary services covering just about every service that someone may need when moving into a care home.
