Family/Matrimonial

Rix & Kay’s Family and Divorce law team is one of the strongest in the South East, comprising of specialist solicitors based in Sevenoaks, Brighton & Hove and Uckfield. Together the team provides the entire range of family and matrimonial law services to clients throughout Sussex and Kent. The firm’s family team has been ranked by Chambers and Partners with Senior Partner and Head of Family department, Alan Foster, being a ranked solicitor.

Corporate/M&A: Lower Mid-Market

Rix & Kay handles the full range of corporate services to clients based in Sussex, Surrey, Kent and London covering mergers, acquisitions, investment, corporate governance and joint ventures. Their corporate sector knowledge, combined with the ability to bring in experts in areas such as tax, employment, pensions and commercial property law, enables the team to understand business issues and provide practical and commercial advice.

Our Employment team has been recognised by Chamber and Partners as a Recognised Practitioner with Partner and Head of Employment team, Victoria Regan. Victoria has experience with working with new business start-ups through to substantial business with hundreds of employees.

Real Estate

Rix & Kay has a large property department dealing with commercial and residential property related matters. The team works with clients as diverse as private house builders, landowners, developers, investors, owner occupiers as well as individuals and their families. Partner and Head of Commercial Property, David Ashton has over 30 years’ experience of advising on all areas of Commercial Property law.

David Ashton frequently represents developers and investors in a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions and leases relating to commercial and residential properties.
