Home / News / An Introduction to Biodiversity Net Gain – Free Breakfast Seminar

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is an approach to development that leaves biodiversity in a better state than before. When the forthcoming Environment Bill comes into effect, it will be mandatory, in almost all cases, for planning applications to demonstrate a 10% net gain in biodiversity in order to be approved. In this seminar, we will introduce the concept of BNG and discuss the implications for developers.

Join Urban Edge Environmental Consulting and Rix & Kay Solicitors for this free event. Coffee and pastries will be provided and there will be an opportunity for networking before and after the talks.

Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

Topics for Discussion

What is Biodiversity Net Gain and when it will come into effect?
Who will it affect?
What will it mean in practice for you and your development?
What are the advantages of a Biodiversity Net Gain approach?
What are some of the potential traps developers should be aware of?
