Bullying and Harassment
In a lot of cases an Equal Opportunities Policy will deal with bullying and harassment as bullying can not be a stand-alone claim in the Employment Tribunals. Harassment can be a form of discriminatory behaviour and it is important to point out that it will not be condoned by the employer. Often, however, it will be the manager who is potentially the guilty party and the policies need to be sympathetic to this situation. Harassment may also form a civil claim and if this is the case, we can work closely with our dispute resolution team.
