Most areas of life and business require us to enter into contracts of some nature. We are here to provide commercially sound advice and assist you in resolving disputes about these contracts, as and when they arise. Disputes over contracts require decisive examination and clear advice on the solutions and remedies.
We undertake a full analysis of any dispute from the point of your initial instruction to us. We will advise you on the risks and likelihood of success in your case, so as to identify and advise you on appropriate strategies to resolve your problem. Our dispute resolution team have a wealth of experience in working on complex cases, where the contractual dispute requires us to work together as a team. Those cases can include simple disputes over payment or non-payment of invoices and disputes over the supply and quality of goods and services.
Our aim is to prepare a strategy that we can work towards together and to provide a detailed cost plan so that the risks and benefits of the proceedings can be assessed all the way through the dispute.
We are also open to looking at other ways of resolving disputes including alternative dispute resolution (where appropriate), such as mediation, which allows the solution to the problem to be reached between the parties, rather than the Courts. However, if litigation is required we will conduct this appropriately and in a cost effective way, keeping you informed every step of the way.
“The dispute resolution team advises large SME businesses and professional service firms, particularly accountants, on a range of commercial litigation”.
“From my dealings with the firm, as counsel instructed by them, I would describe them as friendly, helpful, relaxed, informal, sensible and practical to deal with. I suspect they are a very sound firm, when compared with some of the flashier but potentially less diligent and less attentive regional firms that you can find in the Surrey, Kent and Sussex corridor down from London”.
“As counsel I’ve really appreciated having a solicitor who I can work with and discuss things with and get real input from”.
