Rix & Kay is reinforcing its commitment as one of the leading law firms in Sussex and Kent with a series of strategic promotions and new hires, positioning the firm for continued growth and success.
Promotions
Daniel Halls has been promoted to Associate in the Corporate Team. Since joining Rix & Kay in 2022, he has earned a reputation as a ‘go-to-lawyer’ amongst some of the region’s most prominent corporate advisors, gaining recognition as a LawNet Rising Star nominee in 2024. His leadership qualities are considered to be a significant asset that has already helped to enhance Rix & Kay’s overall corporate advisory and M&A offering.
Jordan Ismail has qualified as a Solicitor in a hybrid role spanning Employment and Dispute Resolution. A LawNet Trainee of the Year finalist and Co-President of the Kent Junior Lawyers Division, Jordan continues to demonstrate his legal expertise, commitment, and ability to represent Rix & Kay at the highest level.
Leah Norton has been awarded a Solicitor Apprenticeship in Rix & Kay’s Private Client Team, where she will complete her Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) and Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE). Leah joined the firm in 2023 as a Paralegal with a clear ambition to progress with Rix & Kay and become a fully qualified Solicitor. Her dedication and exceptional client service have earned her strong support from the firm.
Charles Hincks has been promoted to Paralegal in the Residential Property Team, following an impressive 18 months as a Conveyancing Assistant, showcasing his proactive approach and commitment to growth.
All of Rix & Kay’s promotions take effect immediately.

Further strengthening its ranks, the firm is set to make more announcements later in the Spring including a Senior Partner and Head of Department post and the appointment of a new Senior Associate and Solicitor to enhance its capabilities across core practice areas. These strategic promotions and hires will further underscore Rix & Kay’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and client service as it moves forward into a promising year.
