Rix & Kay is proud to be supporting the Ladies Lunch Club in Brighton & Hove for 2025. The first event took place on 21 January at Nostos in Hove where many of the region’s leading businesswomen gathered for informal networking and talks from guest speakers.

Sarah Rebello, Solicitor in Rix & Kay’s Dispute Resolution team spoke about Rix & Kay’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda and initiatives.

Sarah commented:

“I’m proud to be part of the Ladies Lunch Club, a community of inspiring professional women from all walks of life. We come together to learn, share, and support one another. The connections we build here are more than just networking — it’s truly a supportive environment where women help women thrive.”

Sarah was joined at the event by fellow colleagues, Janet Raeburn, Head of Rix & Kay’s Family Law team, and Kathryn Paisley, Head of Rix & Kay’s Corporate team.

The firm’s involvement reflects Rix & Kay’s ongoing commitment to championing gender equality and creating opportunities for women in all areas of life.

Flexible and hybrid working are central to Rix & Kay’s philosophy, helping the firm attract and retain highly talented professionals who can thrive personally and professionally.

By supporting the Ladies Lunch Club Brighton, Rix & Kay are proud to engage in important conversations about gender equality and contribute to efforts that raise awareness and create lasting change. This partnership is just one of the ways the firm continues to support initiatives that empower women and advance equality across the region.

The firm has also been involved in events like Brighton’s International Women’s Month Conference and will participate in International Women’s Day activities again in 2025. It is also committed to helping businesses stay ahead of legislative changes, such as the new duty for employers to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace, which came into effect in October 2024.

These efforts reflect Rix & Kay’s broader mission to drive positive change, both within the legal sector and in the communities where its colleagues live and work.
