Rix & Kay Partner Speaks at International Women’s Month Conference
Rix & Kay Partner and Head of Residential Property, Angela Arnold has participated in Herstory III – an empowerment and confidence building conference, celebrating the successes of women in business. The conference, that took place on 14th March in Brighton, saw more than 75 attendees come together as part of the wider International Women’s Month celebrations.
Angela made up a panel of inspirational women that included Ramona Williams, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Change Manager at Amazon; and owner of Velvet House, Emma Draper.
Attendees of the event also experienced a special interactive workshop led by award-winning motivational speaker and coach, Harry Singha, that encouraged participants to focus on the power of mindset.
Angela Arnold commented,
“I was thrilled to be asked to participate in such an important event and have an opportunity to promote and celebrate the achievements of so many amazing women, not just in business, but in our regional community and beyond. The Herstory conference is vital in promoting the wider mission of International Women’s Month that makes clear that everyone, everywhere can play a part in helping forge gender equality”.
Angela’s role within the Brighton & Hove community goes beyond her professional expertise and business achievements. She is regarded as a prominent voice and influencer in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Angela regularly engages in collaborative efforts with various local community initiatives, advocating for increased diversity and inclusivity, particularly for women and individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds.
Angela holds the position of Vice President at the Sussex Cricket Foundation, showcasing her commitment to sports and community development. She also contributes as a mentor for the Brighton University BAME programme, emphasising her dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion in educational settings.
Her collaboration extends to Active Sussex, an organisation promoting physical activity and sports in the region. Angela recently supported their Sussex Sport & Physical Activity Awards in 2023, where she presented the award for inclusion and diversity.
Angela Arnold’s involvement in championing diversity, equity, and inclusion underlines her dedication to both professional excellence and community engagement, making her a notable figure in both the legal profession and regional community.
