Moving into a care home can be a daunting prospect, and finding a home that is the right fit for you, or your loved one, is extraordinarily important. Not only do our Later Life team have contacts with residential, care and nursing homes across the South East, but are also in contact with companies who can prepare tailor-made reports to give you the confidence that any homes you consider are right for you.
Once resident, especially in these turbulent times, families and friends want the reassurance that their loved ones are safe and well looked after. Our Later Life team can refer you to our trusted contacts in the health and wellbeing sector, whether it is to carry out a welfare visit on your behalf for those living a great distance apart, or to investigate any particular concerns that you may have.

With the financial world being an ever-changing forum, it is important to regularly review your financial position and how you want your cash, assets, pensions and savings to work for you. Our Later Life Team are in contact with several SOLLA accredited financial advisors, who may be able to answer any financial questions you have.

If this past year has taught us anything, it is that enjoying the things we love should be prioritised for us all. Later Life Legal Services
For a more hands on, long term assistance, Rix & Kay’s Later Life Team can arrange Lasting Powers of Attorney, appointing family, friends or professionals to ensure that you have a legally appointed helping hand to assist you with your property and finances or health and welfare.
For those no longer able to make Lasting Powers of Attorney, we also specialise in applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies for property and financial affairs. Again, the firm can act as deputy in a professional capacity, or assist loved ones in their own application.
