Joanna Bryan celebrates International Women’s Day 2021
Over the course of next week, Rix & Kay will be celebrating International Women’s Day, where some of its women will be sharing who inspires them and what International Women’s Day means to them. Today Joanna Bryan shares her experiences.
Joanna Bryan worked as an environmental scientist in New York city for 10 years before retraining as a lawyer. For the first part of her legal career she worked for the Environmental Law Foundation before moving into private practice where she works as a commercial property lawyer and deals with all aspects of commercial property as well as maintaining a specialty in environmental matters as they relate to buildings and land. Joanna is a Chartered Legal Executive in Rix & Kay’s Commercial Property Team based in Uckfield.
What inspires me in my role?
“I am inspired by my colleagues and clients. For example I have recently worked on matters with Jamie Tavares, Victoria Regan and Leon Mumford, they bring their own expert knowledge to matters and I think it’s really exciting to be able to work together as a team to bring the best possible expertise on a matter to a client. I am also inspired by my clients, hearing especially how their businesses have thrived or suffered during the pandemic has motivated me to do my absolute best for them and has challenged me to think creatively about how best to meet their needs.”
