On 29 February 2012, Active Sussex launched its Sussex Legacy programme which aims to inspire sporting magic to the grass roots and communities throughout the County during 2012 and beyond.
The programme is hoped to capture the excitement of the London 2012 Games, and is designed to increase the numbers of people taking part, coaching and running sport in Sussex.
Six key elements complete the Sussex Legacy programme, these are:
- Sportivate
- Sports Makers
- Sussex School Games
- Active Workplace Sussex Sports Series
- Sussex Coaching Bursary
- Sussex Sports Awards 2012
